At Backcountry Wood Arts, we take pride in creating handcrafted, custom wood art made to your specifications. Due to the unique nature of our products, we have specific policies in place regarding refunds, returns, and exchanges.
1. Custom Orders – No Refunds
All custom-made products are final sale and non-refundable. Once a custom order has been placed and production has begun, we are unable to offer cancellations, refunds, or exchanges. This policy applies to all personalized or made-to-order items.
2. Non-Custom/Stock Items
If you purchase a non-custom or stock item, you may request a return or exchange within 14 days of delivery, provided the item is unused, undamaged, and in its original packaging. Return shipping is the customer’s responsibility unless the item was defective or incorrect.
3. Damaged or Defective Products
If your item arrives damaged or defective:

Contact us within 48 hours of delivery.

Provide photos of the damage and packaging.

We will assess the issue and, if approved, offer a replacement or refund at our discretion.
We reserve the right to deny refund or replacement requests if the product shows signs of misuse, neglect, or damage not caused during shipping.
4. Shipping Costs
Original shipping charges are non-refundable. In the event of an approved return or exchange (excluding cases of damage or error on our part), return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer.
5. Order Cancellations
Orders for non-custom items may be canceled within 24 hours of purchase. Custom orders cannot be canceled once production has begun.
